Physicians across the country have developed successful partnerships with Life Line Screening, providing wonderful benefits both to their practices and to their patients. Our high standards, community outreach and marketing efforts make us an ideal partner for physicians who care about improving community health and risk awareness.
Dedication to quality
Life Line Screening’s technologists are highly skilled and either registered with or eligible to be registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). All of our reviewing physicians are board-certified and state-licensed. Our screenings are performed in accordance with the latest recommended categorization of normal and abnormal results. Our sonographers adhere to strict protocols to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Life Line Screening carotid artery screenings have been independently reviewed by researchers at the
University of South Florida and the
Cleveland Clinic. The latter also reviewed our abdominal aortic aneurysm screenings. The sensitivity of the tests was 100% and the specificity was 94%. Life Line Screening’s findings were remarkably consistent with those of a laboratory accredited by the ICAVL (Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories). Excellent concordance was found between Life Line Screening’s findings and an ICAVL-accredited laboratory. We are certified by the CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988) as a moderately-complex lab.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards, and hope our screenings will prove to be an invaluable preventive tool for you and your patients. When we send out results letters to our customers, we strongly encourage them to take these results to their physicians. We encourage our customers to have a deeper dialogue with physicians about ways to improve their health, including lifestyle changes and, if appropriate, medical management. Physicians often recommend our screenings, as they have come to recognize the complementary value of our services to theirs, helping patients achieve overall better health.
Get involved in community screening
There are several opportunities for physicians to get involved with Life Line Screening’s efforts in the community. Co-marketing a screening event in your area provides a much-needed service to the community while simultaneously increasing your presence. Or, if you choose to sponsor a screening, you will have the opportunity to make a health presentation and distribute brochures from your practice. The more you spread the word about the importance of getting screened, the more people will find out about your practice. Educating your patient base about the screenings can also help you effectively “triage” patients, so you can use your time with them most effectively. If they have screening results, you can use that information to focus your discussion on the topics most relevant to them.
